Time flows like a stream — slowly, with its currents (either strong, or weak at different points), but moving at a constant pace— you’ll eventually get to its end, but you’ll need to follow its path.
Along the path of this flowing stream, you’ll have victories, and likely many defeats. These victories and defeats come in different forms: personal, professional, communal, e.t.c; they’re events along this stream.
It’s very easy, especially on the down parts to attempt summarising the whole of your life as the “down parts”; that’s because our emotions — especially the bad — feel so overwhelming; we thus switch into “negative mode”.
It’s important to understand some things:
The event (no matter how ever present it feels) isn’t your whole life
You are where you are right now because of everything that came before (you didn’t just appear here)
Time will continue flowing
Victory is still possible, if you remind yourself of your past wins, and learn from today
Until death, all defeat is psychological.
